My name is Axel Steffens and I am a native of Mützenich. Since my parents used to have a restaurant in Mützenich themselves, I grew up in the restaurant business, so to speak. Initially, I turned my back on the restaurant business and lived in Cologne from 1999 to 2018. Then in 2019 I went back to my roots and bought the Venngasthof. Since then, the Venngasthof Zur Buche enjoys a completely new overall concept where the guest is always the focus.

My entire crew and I are always very friendly and restlessly strive to give you – our guests – an unforgettable stay.
